3

Practice Pronunciation

4

Pass the Test!

At your USCIS interview, confidently answer in English. You only need 6 out of 10 correct. You are ready!

Language Exemptions: Can You Take the Test in Your Language?

Age-Based Exemptions from the English Test

If you qualify for one of these exemptions, you can take the civics test in your native language with an interpreter you bring. You skip the English reading and writing tests entirely.

Rule Age Green Card Years Benefit
50/20 50+ 20+ No English test; civics in your language (all 128 questions)
55/15 55+ 15+ No English test; civics in your language (all 128 questions)
65/20 65+ 20+ No English test; only 20 civics questions in your language

Important: Even if you qualify for an exemption, our multilingual study pages help you understand the material. If you do NOT qualify, you must take the test in English — but you can still study in your native language and memorize the English answers.

Why Multilingual Preparation Matters

Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants from non-English-speaking countries take the US citizenship test. Many of them are parents, grandparents, and workers who have contributed to American communities for decades. They deserve study tools that meet them where they are — in their own language.

Our approach is simple: understand the concept in your language, memorize the English answer, practice the pronunciation. This method has helped countless applicants — from Hindi-speaking mothers to Korean-speaking grandparents — pass the citizenship test on their first try.
