Your Rights

- ✅ Travel in and out of the country
- ✅ Own property
- ✅ Attend public school
- ✅ Apply for a driver’s license
- ✅ Join certain branches of the military
- ✅ Apply for citizenship after meeting requirements
Your Responsibilities
- 📋 File U.S. income tax returns
- 📋 Register with Selective Service (males 18-25)
- 📋 Maintain your permanent resident status
- 📋 Carry your green card at all times
- 📋 Obey all federal, state, and local laws
What You CANNOT Do
- ❌ Vote in federal elections
- ❌ Run for elected office
- ❌ Hold certain government jobs
- ❌ Stay outside the U.S. for extended periods without consequences
